The latest ATP rankings were released on Monday. Hubert Hurkacz’s position in the world rankings has changed. There were also some changes in the Top 10.

Last week, Hubert Hurkacz competed unsuccessfully in the ATP 250 event in Estoril. Already in the first duel, the Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles proved to be better than the Pole. This means the 26-year-old from Wrocław hasn’t improved his score on Portuguese clay.

“Hubi” also did not retain its 12th position. On Monday, our representative dropped to 13th place, as he was passed by Frances Tiafoe. The American became the winner of the ATP 250 tournament in Houston and climbed to the 11th highest place of his career.

Serbian Novak Djokovic remained the leader in the world rankings, maintaining a 380-point lead over Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz. The podium is completed by the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas. Fourth place was taken by the Norwegian Casper Ruud, who after the triumph in Estoril overtook the Russian Danil Medvedev. The personal best was bettered by Italian Jannik Sinner, who switched positions with Dane Holger Rune and is currently the eighth racket on the globe.

The second of the White-Reds, Kamil Majchrzak, is still suspended until the suspicions of doping are clarified. On Monday, the native of Piotrków slightly improved his situation in the ATP rankings. Kacper Żuk registered a slight drop, and Daniel Michalski (without additional points for the ITF World Tennis Tour triumph in Santa Margherita di Pula), Maks Kaśnikowski and Filip Peliwo advanced.

This week, the prestigious ATP Masters 1000 event is taking place in Monte Carlo. Hubert Hurkacz has already had his first duel, in which he defeated Serbian Laslo Djere after a three-set fight (more here). The Pole defends the points from last year’s quarter-final on Monaco clay.
