Jo Strømgren Kompani: The Company

An exclusive club of dedicated coffee drinkers come together for their daily coffee ritual. Then the harmony is broken by an incredible event: the discovery of a used tea bag! As the hunt for possible Asian infiltration grows, an inevitable question arises: how far is the company willing to go to track down and punish the unpatriotic traitor?

The company had its premiere 15 years ago in 2008 in Beirut, and has since been performed to great acclaim and received rave reviews, among others, in the United States, Canada, Norway, Sweden and Australia.

The Society deftly straddles the fine line between humor and horror.

IN The company mixes physical humor, playful choreography and absurd fantasy with darker political undertones. Through an amusing portrait of a small group of people in a closed universe, associations are awakened to themes such as xenophobia and the exercise of power.

This year, the coffee company consists of the three actors Trond Fausa Aurvåg, Bartek Kaminski and John Fjelnseth Brungot.
