Curling competition in the women’s and men’s quad main event at the Lake Placid Universiade is behind us. So we got to know all of the semi-finalists who will fight for the medals.
For the ladies, everything was clear after eight sessions. There were four semi-finalists. The last session explained only in which places which team finished the main competition. In the end, South Korea won the main stage, followed by the United States in second place, China in third place and Great Britain in fourth place.

On the men’s side, a lot was also clear, because three national teams – Canada, Switzerland and Great Britain. The only question was which place these teams would take and who would join the three. Eventually, thanks to the victory over Brazil, the Americans climbed to third place, overtaking the Canadians. The main stage was won by the British.
