ÖSTERSUND, Sweden — Kadriana Lott and Colton Lott finished a dominant Sunday with an 11-0 victory over Dutchmen Vanessa Tonoli and Wouter Goesgens at the world mixed doubles curling championship.

The Canadians earned an 8-3 victory over Zuzana Paulova and Tomas Paul of the Czech Republic earlier Sunday. Canada improved to 3-0 to sit atop Group B alongside host Sweden, also at 3-0.

“I think it would improve everyone’s confidence,” Kadriana Lott said. “I mean, we've got some good teams coming in, but we know we're playing against the best of the best, so we're ready for that.”

The Lotts reeled off three straight deuces, followed by a fourth three-pointer to take a 9-0 lead. After two singles strengthened their lead, the Dutch conceded the match after six ends.

Kadriana Lott finished the match with a score of 98 percent, complementing the 95 and 96 percent she accumulated in Canada's first two matches.

“She’s been very consistent with her weight,” Colton Lott said. “For me, as a sweeper, it’s very easy to judge. Every time she throws it, I know right away it's really close.

“Maybe I should sweep a little bit, but she was just on point with it. And her line for my shots was really good too. All around, amazing.”

The Canadians got off to a good start before the Czechs also conceded a goal with two ends remaining. Leading 2-1 after the second end, Canada scored four points in the third to take a commanding advantage.

The Czech Republic singled in each of the next two ends to cut the lead to three, but a Canadian double in the sixth sealed the victory.

Among other results from the evening draw, the United States (2-1) beat China (1-2) 8-6, Scotland (2-1) beat Australia (1-2 ) 7-5, Czechia (1-2) bounced back to claim an 8-6 victory over New Zealand (0-3) and Sweden handed South Korea (1-2) an 8-5 defeat ).

Canada will face South Korea next Monday.

The round robin ends Thursday and the medal matches will take place Saturday.
