The former well intervention service of Aker Solutions, acquired in January by Swedish buyout fund EQT, has been split into two companies to be called Altus Intervention and Qinterra Technologies from April 22.

The company will have 1,300 employees in Norway (Stavanger, Bergen and Stjørdal), Denmark and the UK. Halle Aslaksen will lead the Scandinavian operations from Stavanger. Garry Michie will lead the UK shelf operations from Aberdeen.
Qinterra Technologies will spearhead the company’s expansion plans outside the North Sea, according to Rasmussen.
Qinterra Technologies employs 300 people and operates in Norway, Great Britain, Canada, the United States, Oman, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Azerbaijan and Malaysia.
Aker received four billion for the sale of the Well Intervention Services division.
The Rasmussen companies had a combined turnover of NOK 2.2 billion last year.
