Lindvik furious after a failure: – I can’t do a fucking ski jump
It was a tough day for Marius Lindvik in German Titisee-Neustadt at the World Cup Show Jumping.
The Rælingen jumper jumped 123.5 meters in supposedly easier conditions and failed to qualify for the final in Germany. After the jump, he was very frustrated and irritated.
– What do you think was wrong?
– I know very well. I can’t fucking ski jump. I can just train more,” Lindvik told Viaplay.
– What are you going to do next week?
– Everything except ski jumping. I’m going to go to Engelberg, ski and clear my head a bit. Then I’ll be ready for next weekend, says Lindvik.
Halvor Egner Granerud did much better and was second after the first jump with his 133 meters, but could not follow up on his decisive jump and found himself fifth.
Dawid Kubacki was absolutely superb and crushed the rest of the competitors after jumping 143 on the last attempt. He won by 25.7 points over Slovenian Anze Lanisek, while Stefan Kraft took the last place on the podium.
– I take off my helmet and hat and everything. It’s an insane level he delivers, Viaplay pundit Anders Jacobsen said of Kubacki.
Other Norwegian positions: Robert Johansson (7), Kristoffer Sundal Eriksen (18), Daniel Andre Tande (22), Johann André Forfang (23) Marius Lindvik (35), Bendik Jakobsen Heggli (38).
