The latest ATP rankings were released on Monday. Hubert Hurkacz left the group of the 10 best tennis players in the world. What is the situation of the Whites and the Reds?

Last week, Hubert Hurkacz played in Rotterdam (ATP 500 ranking), where he only managed to win one duel in the main draw. Although the 26-year-old from Wrocław increased his achievements by 45 points, it wasn’t enough to stay in the Top 10.

“Hubi” jumped from 10th to 11th position on Monday. It happened because Daniil Medvedev overtook him. The Russian triumphed in Rotterdam (more here), thanks to which he rose from 11th to 8th place. This week, Hurkacz will take part in the ATP 250 indoor competition in Marseille, where he will be the highest-ranked seed (see parenthesis).

The second of the White-Reds, Kamil Majchrzak, fell to 126th place in the world ranking. Kacper Żuk (ATP 260) and Daniel Michalski (ATP 266) progressed, scoring points at the challengers. Martyn Pawelski scored the biggest promotion among the White-Reds. The 18-year-old from Gliwice received 15 points for his triumph at the ITF World Tennis Tour in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, beating 118 tennis players. Currently, it occupies the 660th position.

Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic entered his 377th week as the leader of the ATP rankings. Second is Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, who won the title in Buenos Aires (more here) but lost the distance to the Serbian as he already had points deducted for last year’s win in Rio de Janeiro. In the Top 5 we also find the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the Norwegian Casper Ruud and the Russian Andrey Rublev. Seventh place was occupied by American Taylor Fritz, who won the title in Delray Beach (more here).

There has been a change of leader in the doubles standings. American Rajeev Ram returned to first place, ahead of the reigning Dutch-British duo of Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski. Jan Zieliński, who continues his cooperation with Hugo Nys, climbed to the highest position of his career, 14th. The Pole and his Monegasque partner had settled in “two” in Qatari Doha.
