The Polish juniors had a fantastic fight for gold at the world championships in Canada. It ended with the silver, but after a nine-year hiatus, we have a team for a medal again.

The Polish junior ski jumping team consisting of: Marcin Wróbel, Klemens Joniak, Kacper Tomasiak and Jan Habdas won silver medals at the World Championships in Whistler, Canada on Saturday February 4th. The gold went to the Austrians, and the bronze to the Slovenians (more HERE).

The Biało-Czerwoni fought an exciting battle with the Austrian team, losing the league title by less than six points. Halfway through, Poland and Austria tied for 1st place.

“The Austrians are only a hair ahead of the Poles. Probably not so bad with these successors to Stoch and the company” – assessed Robert Sitnicki (Canal + Sport).

“After 9 years, we have a team medal again! We have talented young people who need help to reach the senior peak” – commented Adam Bucholz (skijumping.pl).

“Only once did the Poles win the Junior World Championship team. In 2014 in Predazzo, J. Wolny, K. Murańka, A. Zniszczoł and K. Biegun did it,” Bucholz recalled in his next tweet.

“The successes at this year’s World Championships are the first medals of the generation born after the outbreak of Małyszomania, which grew up on the successes of Stoch and the company” – emphasized Paweł Borkowski (skijumping.pl).
