The book is also released as an audiobook, where the prince himself speaks.

Several listeners have taken to social media to point out that it makes already very private stories even more intimate and uncomfortable to hear.

For it was in chapter 43 that several listeners would have shoved their coffee firmly down their throats while listening to the Duke’s speech.

In the chapter, Harry recounts an incident from an expedition to the North Pole in 2011.

There he had managed to suffer frostbite underneath. In the book, Harry says he desperately needed something to ease the pain.

A friend of the duke then found a cream of the brand “Elizabeth Arden”. According to the friend, it was supposed to put Harry’s tree back on its feet.

Then comes what several readers react to:

– Mom used this on her lips. Do you want me to put this underneath, Harry asks in the book.

After much hesitation, he agrees to try the cream.

– I found the tube, and the moment I opened it, the smell took me back to the good old days. I felt like my mother was there in the room. I took a little pinch and coated it, he continues.

– What the hell?

Readers and listeners have now taken to social media to express their unease.

– You don’t have to share everything, writes one of the readers on Twitter.

– What did I just hear. Step and mother in one and the same story. I can’t take no more, wrote anotherdisturbed listener.

– Diana, I’m so sorry that Charles raised them like this, jokes another.

good publicity

Despite strong reactions from readers and listeners, at least “Elizabeth Arden” must have seen the attention surrounding the cream as positive.

This week, they took to Twitter to promote their product, which they claim contains hyaluronic acid.

According to them, it should be good to use on a cold winter day.

– You have all heard of the use of hyaluronic acid. Did you know it’s extremely useful to use in the cold months, the makeup brand asks on Twitter, followed by “buy here!”.

The message was published the day before the book was published, but according to New position if parts of the book were leaked before the first day of the sale.

– There is no miscommunication, he says in a reply on the brand’s Tweet on Monday.
