Holidaymakers traveling to Mallorca are now being warned that lifeguards at Palma beaches will go on strike from Sunday.
– None of us will work. If there are swimming-related deaths, it’s not our fault, says lifeguard union leader Julian Delgado.
It represents about fifty lifeguards who are employed on the beaches of the municipality of Palma.
People are still allowed to be on the beaches and in the sea, but it will be at their own risk. Lifeguards are generally on duty from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
The strike covers all of Palma’s beaches, including the stretch known as Ballermann, which is particularly popular with foreign tourists.
Weights hitting the head with a glass bottle
A security guard from Jessheim to Ullensaker was hit in the head with a glass bottle outside a nightclub on Saturday night.
– We have control of the two involved. The victim was not seriously injured, but still had a cold in the head. The two people involved were expelled from the city center, said operations director Joakim Ormåsen Romerikes Blad.
The two were in their twenties and thirties respectively.

Hovland have yet to win a major tournament.
