No less than five sets took place during the USA – Italy encounter. The Americans ultimately proved better, but failed to score a set of points. This one went to Canada, which probably beat South Korea.

In the first game of the Nations League, the Canadian women’s team fought a fierce battle against Poland, which ended in defeat after a tie-break. Then the volleyball players from North America didn’t even beat a set from Thailand.

However, after two losses, the Canadians had the perfect opportunity to claim their first win of the tournament. After all, they faced South Korea, who last season LN didn’t win a game. The current matches started just as unsuccessfully, due to the defeat against Turkey (0-3).

Canada assumed the role of favorites and took full control of the game from start to finish. The Koreans were only able to stand up to their rivals at the start of the sets. In the end, they failed to surpass the 20-point mark in any of the games.

Decidedly more emotions were provided by the last meeting of the day when the USA faced Italy. Considering the rosters of the two teams, the Americans were the heavy favorites. However, the adversaries posed difficult conditions.

Although the Italians lost the first set, they were better in the following sets. Thanks to this, their rivals were against the wall, but managed to lead to a tie-break. This was already one-sided and from start to finish it was controlled by the United States volleyball players. Thus, they maintained the status of an undefeated team.

Women’s Nations League:

Canada – South Korea 3-0 (25:17, 25:16, 25:18)

USA – Italy 3:2 (25:16, 14:25, 22:25, 25:20, 15:9)
