NRK’s ”debate” on Tuesday focused on Rødt’s views on arms support for Ukraine.
Central board member and Rødt Oslo board member Joakim Møllersen said on the show that Norway should not supply arms to Ukraine. He also claimed that NATO opposes the war negotiations, which has not been documented.
The statements were heavily criticized. The same goes for the fact that Rødt did not send anyone from the party leadership.
Now Rødt chief Bjørnar Moxnes is going after Facebook and blaming NRK. He did not respond to Dagbladet’s requests.
– I listen to criticism, but it must first and foremost address the state channel. I was not invited. There was also no one else from the working committee or the Storting group, writes Moxnes, and continues:
– Fredrik Solvang explained that it was not appropriate for NRK to include other views of Rødt’s management than those who say no to arms. It’s an honest question. The policy adopted by Rødt, before the national meeting now takes a decision, is also this. But it has become clear that there are different views in Rødt’s party leadership.
This is answered by NRK
Editor of NRK’s news division, Knut Magnus Berge, tells Dagbladet that it is right that NRK wants participants in Rødt’s debate who clearly defend current policy, since that was the starting point of the debate. Raymond Johansen’s attack on Rødt.
