It’s time for the Canadians and Italians to go in the next meeting of the Volleyball Nations League this year! Both teams aren’t on the best streak this season, but they can improve their result in a one-on-one game.

The Canadians have shown time and time again in this year’s edition that they can compete with the best. This was the case when they won against Serbia (3:2) or against Poland (2:3). The problem is that players in the land of the maple leaf intertwine the good encounters with the bad. The Italians, meanwhile, liked the tie-breaks in this edition. The five-set battle ended in clashes with Thailand, the United States, the Dominican Republic, the Netherlands, China and Brazil. It is true that most of these matches were eventually won by Italy, but for some it will be two precious points, and for others one point lost, which can determine the final result in the table.
Week three matches will wrap up the VNL 2023 playoffs. The final tournament will be played in Arlington, USA (July 12-16). The top seven teams in the table and the home team will play there.
