For the inauguration of the tournament, the Poles faced an “exotic” volleyball rival in the form of the Indian national team. Much lower, the opponent only in the third set surprised, winning 25:20. In the remaining matches, our volleyball players did not allow the Indians to score even 20 “points”.

Another World Cup game in Bahrain awaits the White-Reds. This time we will face Canada, who lost 3-1 to Bulgaria in the first game. The maple leaf players lost the first set at… 12, but they almost led to the tiebreaker, because in the fourth set they succumbed to the advantage of 25:27.
The Canadians need to make a splash and beat the Poles if they want to extend their hopes of breaking out of the group. The top two teams from the four groups will advance to the next phase.
The Poles have faced the Canadians several times before at the U-21 World Cup, most recently at the 2019 World Cup, in which the Whites and Reds won 3-2.
