The Polish relay team off the podium at the end of the world championships

The Polish national team 4×400 meters relay team (Alicja Wrona-Kutrzepa, Marika Popowicz-Drapała, Patrycja Wyciszkiewicz-Zawadzka, Natalia Kaczmarek) took sixth place at the World Championships in Athletics. After a crazy finish, the Dutch triumphed.

The Poles clocked 3:24.93 and lost more than four seconds to the Dutch frontrunners.

Eveline Saalberg, Lieke Klaver, Cathelijn Peeters and Femke Bol achieved the best result in the world this year – 2:20.72. Bol had a great result on the home stretch, overtaking the riders from Jamaica and Great Britain. Candice McLeod, Janieve Russell, Nickisha Pryce and Stacey Ann Williams scored 3:20.88 while Laviai Nielsen, Amber Anning, Ama Pipi and Nicole Yeargin scored 3:21.04.
