If you live in Troms or Finnmark, you might want to take advantage of the good weather on Sunday. Because from the beginning of next week it will be cooler, not only in the north, but throughout the country, according to duty meteorologist Terje Alsvik Walløe from the Meteorological Institute.

– Arctic air blows towards the south of Norway. The cool air will bring temperatures lower than they usually are in July. This applies to the whole country, but particularly here in the south, Walløe tells Dagbladet.

According to the meteorologist, the cool air comes from between Greenland and Svalbard and will move over the Norwegian Sea before reaching the country to the west.

The worst in the west

Western Norway will then probably suffer the most.

– Western Norway receives the most coolness and precipitation. In Bergen on Tuesday and Wednesday, the temperature will be 12 to 13 degrees, with rain and wind. So it will be sour and cold.

In Eastern Norway it will be better, with stays and some rain showers for the coming week.

The temperature is halved: – A real change

– It won’t be particularly hot. You can be happy if it’s a maximum of 20 degrees. The place where you are most likely to experience a temperature of 20 degrees is east of Kristiansand and towards Oslo.

According to Walløe, southern Norway will be a bit like eastern Norway, but with a slightly lower temperature.

– The temperature will be lower in Oslo, between 15 and 17 degrees. In some places on the south coast where the sun is out, it can be between 16 and 19 degrees, he says.

– But it won’t last long and on Tuesday and Thursday the temperature will drop to around ten degrees, he specifies.

There are also good opportunities to enjoy the Sunday weather in the Trondheim and Molde regions.

– It will be very windy, but with a good chance that it will be over 20 degrees tomorrow. At the start of the week, the temperature will start to drop to around 12 degrees.
