Tatyana Tarasova, who is a Russian figure skating coach, once again addressed the media. During the interview, she was very harshly critical of Canada’s athletes. She called them “beasts”.
Canadian athletes decided to unite and send a letter to the National Olympic Association. In it, they made it clear that they oppose Russians and Belarusians taking part in international competitions, including next year’s Olympics in Paris.

What have our players done to prevent them from competing? This is real murder and I can’t call it anything else,” she said, as quoted by TASS.
