Thoresen slammed the Oilers captain:- Full head haze
The Stavanger Oilers lead the elite series in ice hockey and solidified that position with a 4-0 home win over Storhamar on Thursday night.
In the final minutes, with the score 3-0 for the Oilers, Storhamar captain Patrick Thoresen lit up. After the Oilers captain first punched Thoresen in the shoulder, the former NHL player quickly spun around and punched Sveum in the neck/face.
according to Television 2 Thoresen received a match penalty for the incident, while Sveum received a two-minute dismissal for a forward misdemeanor.
Sveum had to be helped out of the ice after the incident.
– You can’t say it’s unprovoked, but it’s awfully unnecessary, says TV 2 pundit Ruben Smith of Thoresen’s stunt.
– It’s complete fog in this situation, says TV 2 commentator Espen Ween.
Thoresen will be suspended for at least one game as a result of the match penalty.
Otherwise, Stjernen picked up a solid 3-2 away win against Frisk Asker, while Manglerud Star took the important bottom line game against Ringerike 3-0.
Vålerenga won 3-2 against Lillehammer. Andreas Martinsen took just 34 seconds to score his first goal for Vålerenga, as he had the assist for the opening goal.
