15-year-old accused of kidnapping man in Romerike
One of the three who allegedly abducted a man on Saturday evening from Bjørkelangen in Aurskog-Høland is only 15 years old. The other two are over 18.
All three were charged with severe deprivation of liberty and threatening, police said. NRK Sunday afternoon. Weapons, including a pistol, were reportedly used in the Saturday night incident.
Police were alerted by a witness who saw a man apparently forced into a car in Bjørkelangen at 10:14 p.m.
– The car then drove away from the scene. We armed ourselves and searched very hard for the car. We also received assistance from the police helicopter, Operations Manager Joakim Ormaasen in the Eastern Police District told NTB on Sunday night.
Large police forces searched throughout the night around Bjørkelangen and Løken in Aurskog-Høland. After more than two hours, at 12:33 a.m., the police found both the offended man and three other men, who were arrested without drama, and without anyone being injured. They were found in Bjørkelangen.
One of the three arrested is only 15 years old. The others are over 18 years old. The latter will be produced in pre-trial detention on Monday, reports NRK.
East police district duty counsel Anders Wiig said the three defendants were sent to Lillestrøm police station.
– All three are partly known to the police in the past, and we are not looking for more people, adds Wiig NRK.
Wiig takes the floor Romerikes Blad that the offended party is an adult male.
He describes the matter as very serious and will not give further details at this time.
– Investigations are underway at several addresses. In addition, many interviews must be conducted, both with those involved and with witnesses, explains Wiig.
