This is confirmed by NRK Entertainment Editor Charlo Halvorsen. Lyngstad was 66 years old.
– It is truly one of the pillars of Norwegian TV humor who has passed away, added Halvorsen TBwho first mentioned the case.
Lyngstad has achieved many of NRK’s biggest comedy hits over the years. He directed the TV series “KLM” and worked with comedians such as Trond Kirkvaag, Otto Jespersen, Bye & Rønning and Robert Stoltenberg, to name a few.
– He’s actually worked with almost every comedian who’s visited NRK in the past 30 years, Halvorsen tells TV 2.
For many, Lyngstad is a lesser-known name than the comedians mentioned above, but Halvorsen speaks of a director who “has always worked for humor”.
– He wasn’t an art director who let the visuals take over completely. He was concerned that it be fun.
Lyngstad passed away after a long illness.
– For me, he was a good friend that I have known since he started on television. I feel like I have lost a good friend and colleague for many years. This likely applies to many people at NRK, especially the adult generation, says Halvorsen.
