– I understand that young people want to flourish – but it doesn’t work in places like that.
That’s what developer and managing director of Bamble Handelspark AS, Vidar Tellefsen, tells Dagbladet.
– It is not possible to have a completely new commercial area with completely new marked parking spaces.
– Cleaning will be expensive! We’ll see how we do it and how much work there will be after Easter, says Tellefsen.

He says he called the police four times during Friday. The case has not been reported to date.
– We don’t have to clean this up. It is not us who must clean up these accumulations, it is the police who must do it.
It was Telemark Journal who brought up the subject first.
– Destroys everything
The contractor estimates that there were at least 30 to 40 cars present.
The job of removing marks won’t be easy either.
– It’s not that easy to remove. The rubber eventually went away on its own, but now it’s so bad you can’t see the white parking stripes in some places.
Tellefsen says he’s interested in cars himself and he understands that young people want to grow: but he thinks a whole new line of business is a total mistake to do just that.
– Several millions have been invested here. We have invested a lot in parking lots, and then they come and tear everything down, he says.
– It also affects young car enthusiasts who behave properly.
– There are maybe ten people who destroy themselves with drifting, but there are many who follow a hard core and find it exciting and fun. I get it’s funny, everyone was young once, but not here, says Tellefsen.
– We want to develop and sell commercial land, and would like to have a good collaboration with young people interested in cars – and have talked about starting activities, but not in this way.
