The latest ATP rankings were released on Monday. Another good news was received by Hubert Hurkacz. What changes have taken place in the world elite?
Last week, Hubert Hurkacz decided not to start the main cycle under any circumstances. The 26-year-old from Wrocław has returned to training after a short break following Wimbledon 2023. He plans to resume touring at the turn of July and August in Washington.
Meanwhile, in the ATP rankings, Hurkacz dropped from 17th to 16th place. It happened because Italian Lorenzo Musetti dropped 500 points for last year’s triumph in Hamburg. The representative of Italy fell to 18th place.
Carlos Alcaraz remained in the lead, although his advantage over second-placed Novak Djokovic dwindled slightly. The Spaniard dropped 300 points for last year’s final in Hamburg (he lost to Musetti). Recently, “Carlitos” participated in the Hopman Cup. However, no ranking points are awarded for this tournament.

The new ATP 250 champion in Bastad, Sweden, Andrei Rublev, consolidated his seventh position. Adrian Mannarino returned to the Top 30, triumphing on grass in Newport, USA. The left-handed Frenchman is now the 27th rocket on the globe. In turn, Pedro Cachin arrived in the Top 50. The Argentinian won the clay court event in Gstaad, Switzerland on Sunday. Thanks to this, he became the 49th tennis player in the world.
The second of the Whites and Reds, Kamil Majchrzak, moved up to 223rd place, and the third, Daniel Michalski, was promoted to 262nd position. The top 300 is closed by Kacper Żuk, who fell two places. Maks Kaśnikowski (ATP 308) also fell, followed by Filip Peliwo (ATP 336).
In the doubles standings, Jan Zieliński returned to the seventh-highest place of his career. The best in the world since the triumph at Wimbledon 2023 are the Dutchman Wesley Koolhof and the Briton Neal Skupski.
