Tornadoes and storms have ravaged large parts of the United States in recent days. At least 18 people have so far been confirmed dead due to the extreme weather conditions, with several having to evacuate their homes.
Nick Sortor, a reporter from Kentucky, found himself in the middle of the drama. On Twitter, he says a “massive tornado” knocked him off the road.
– I thought I was going to die when my car was picked up and thrown off the road by a massive tornado in Tennessee, Sortor wrote in the Twitter post.
Hundreds injured in tornado
Major damage
He also shares three photos of the accident. There you can see Sortor bleeding from the forehead and sitting inside what looks like a car wreck.
He also posts photos of the car, which suffered extensive damage and dents after the crash.
It seems that the journalist has well documented the accident. In the Twitter post, he writes that he also has some movies that he can share in due time.
Many send words of support to Sortor during the Twitter post, including former attorney and adviser to Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani.
– I’m glad you’re alive, writes Giuliani to Sortor.
– Broken
In Tennessee, where Sortor was hit by the tornado, at least seven people lost their lives.
– My Jeep is broken, but it’s nothing compared to the lives that have been destroyed here, wrote Sortor in a post.
At the same time, he thanks the support he received following the accident.
– I really appreciate the support. It means more than you think, he writes.
