“What a show” and a solid dose of “adrenaline” were provided by Fiorentina in Poland – writes “La Gazzetta dello Sport” after Thursday’s match with Lech Poznań in the quarter-finals of the Europa League Conference (1 :4). It was “almost a perfect match for the Italian team”, adds the daily on its website.
According to the biggest Italian sports newspaper, the Florence club made a “show of strength” and secured the semi-finals. It was recalled that the “purples” had not lost a match since February 12, and in Poznań they literally “knocked out Lech”, who was trying to increase the pace of the match.
Fiorentina did everything necessary and more.
Published in Florence, “La Nazione” points out in the title that the footballers of this city “got carried away” and that the semi-final is approaching. He describes the match as “exciting”.
Again, he notes, “the Italian team had a great away game, outclassing their rivals.” In the report from the capital Wielkopolska, the daily notes that Fiorentina dominated the Poles, who until Thursday evening had “an almost insurmountable defense”.
On April 20, at the Stade Franchi, the Florentines will be able to approach the meeting with justified calm.
High marks were given to all “Viola” players, who “made their 650 fans happy” in Poznań.
