Formula 1 Fan’s Guide 2023 (CALENDAR, DRIVERS, WHERE TO WATCH F1)

FORMULA 1 2023. Sunday’s Bahrain Grand Prix kicks off the 2023 Formula 1 season. The reigning world champion is Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, who is aiming for a third consecutive title. Below you will find all the most important information about this year’s F1 season – race schedule, driver list, where to watch F1.

The calendar for the 2023 season was released in September 2022. Originally 24 races were scheduled, but the Chinese Grand Prix was eventually dropped from the calendar. The best drivers in the world will fight for the title of world champion over 23 weekends. The competition will kick off March 3-5 in Bahrain. Season finale on November 26 in Abu Dhabi.

The penultimate round will be the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas. This will be the third race in the United States this season (the Miami and Austin rounds will be held earlier). There are many indications that after the 2023 season the Spanish Grand Prix will disappear from the Formula 1 calendar in favor of South Africa.

There have been no changes to the top three teams in the 2022 season. Red Bull will be represented by Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, Ferrari by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, and Mercedes by George Russell and Lewis Hamilton.

There was an earthquake in Alpine. The French team wanted to extend the contract with Fernando Alonso. The double world champion, however, opted for Aston Martin, Oscar Piastri, still on the circuit, joining McLaren. The new Alpine rider was Pierre Gasly brought from Alpha Tauri. His partner will be Esteban Ocon.
The McLaren team will consist of Lando Norris and the aforementioned Oscar Piastri.
The new face of Aston Martin is Fernando Alonso. Mick Schumacher failed to prove himself at Haas, so the American team brought in Nico Hülkenberg in his place. The debutants – apart from Oscar Piastri – are Nick de Vries (Alpha Tauri) and Logan Sargeant (Williams).
