Scotland coach won’t talk about Haaland
Scotland coach Steve Clarke won’t talk about Erling Braut Haaland. But he expects a tough game against a Norway side which he believes can play two different ways.
– It will be very different from the game against Spain. Spain can roll, roll and roll the ball, while Norway can also roll the ball, as they have good ball players, but they can be very direct. It’s going to be a tough game, Clarke said at a press conference Friday night.
When asked how he would handle Erling Braut Haaland, the Scottish national team manager said he didn’t want to talk about individual players.
– We focus on ourselves, we prepare properly while respecting the opponent. We are playing against the Norway team, and I hope Scotland as a team will have a better day, Clarke said.
He was also asked if he understood how Real Madrid and Inter stopped Haaland in the Champions League. Clarke confirmed he watched the games but still wouldn’t talk about the Norwegian striker. He was more concerned about the team.
– Norway had two very difficult away games and they got a point, so it’s also an important game for them.
Scotland started EC qualification with a full pot after two matches. Norway expect Ullevaal on Saturday.
