Great Britain: – Shocking revelation: “Psychiatrists” have made millions

The woman, believed to be in her 60s, is said to have earned between £1million and £1.3million over nearly two decades. This corresponds to between 12 and 16 million NOK at the current exchange rate.

Several British media write it.

According to the indictment, the New Zealander claimed she graduated from the University of Auckland and tampered with her exam papers.

Now she is charged with 20 offenses including forgery and fraud and is due in court in Manchester. She denies any criminal guilt after the indictment.

– She’s a heroine

– Failure in exams

Prosecutor Christopher Stables is clear in his opening statement in court:

– To put it bluntly, the accused is an impostor, he says according to a British newspaper.

Furthermore, he points out that the defendant forged papers from the University of Auckland and that she then transmitted them to the English authorities with the aim of being registered as a doctor in Great Britain.

– But she didn’t pass her exams, she failed them and never qualified, said Stables.

He calls her a very skilled forger and deceiver, but points out that she has no qualifications to be called or considered a doctor.

Worked in several countries

According to the court, the woman practiced as a doctor in both England, Scotland and Northern Ireland between 1998 and 2017. During this period, she had to work in various health organizations and foundations.

In the UK, you usually meet the qualification requirements to become a doctor after a six-year period of study. The defendant earned a bachelor’s degree in biology in 1991 but, according to the prosecution, failed in her studies when she tried to become a doctor.

– She pretended to be a psychiatrist when she didn’t have a medical degree. She decided to achieve this by resorting to counterfeiting, but never finished her studies. So she can’t have earned the degree she claims to have, Stables says.

The trial is expected to last five weeks.
