The scandal occurred during the World Cup match between Sweden and Hungary (7-1). One of the supporters of the latter country watched the match in a T-shirt with the inscription “Russia”. Security responded quickly.

The game between Sweden and Hungary was played in Tampere, Finland. There was not much turmoil at the rink, as the hockey players from the country of the Three Crowns faced the Magyars without major problems. The match ended with the result 7:1.

The duel would probably have been silent without the behavior of one of the Hungarian supporters. They were noticed in Russia, and all because the Hungarian entered the stands wearing a T-shirt with the inscription “Russia”.

This did not go unnoticed by security, who reacted immediately. Law enforcement approached the Hungarian fan and ordered him to take off his shirt. “He obeyed the organizers,” reports sports.ru.

“Russia” was written on the white jersey, but there was no team logo on it, said Ville Ketonen, head of World Cup security. After the man took off his shirt, he continued to watch the game.
