“Problems innad i Høyre” was a single by the humor-hard rock band Black Debbath in 1999.
Today, rank-and-file member Erik Storelv echoes these remarks in many ways, harshly attacking the party’s mayoral candidate Lisbeth Hammer Krog in Bærum and Lene Conradi in Asker.
The reader’s entry into Budstikka concludes by inviting the population to vote for a party other than the Conservative Party in the local elections on September 11.
– When you nominate a person as a candidate for mayor for a fourth and fifth term respectively, then there is a problem. Abuse of power, hidden networks and endangerment of democratic processes can then occur, Storelv explains to Dagbladet.
Striker Støre: – I’m tired
It was The messenger who first brought up the subject.
You have to think about it
Now local team leader Henrik Asheim is taking action. He simply encourages Storelv to consider joining.
– Isn’t there a higher ceiling within the Conservative Party?
– There is a high ceiling in Høyre. We have thorough nomination processes where everyone can have their say. But when the annual meetings have been chosen and the lists are ready, it is wise not to take advantage of the electoral campaign to encourage people to vote for another party. This is why I ask Storelv to consider joining, Asheim tells Dagbladet.
– Do you consider this to be so unfair that Storelv should be excluded?
– No, we don’t have a culture for that. I simply asked him to consider not becoming a member of the Conservative Party, as he urges people not to vote for the Conservative Party.
– But will there be waves?
– I think most people barely shrug their shoulders. Conradi and Hammer Krog are two of the most popular mayors in all of Norway by any measure. So I think it hardly creates any repercussions, says Asheim.
– That proves I’m right
Storelv, for his part, says that yes, there are waves, and they are not right-wing waves he is talking about.
– But I didn’t create these waves, I just describe them. I have tried to resolve issues with the nomination process. The entire debate was dismissed. Which proves that I am right, says Storelv.
Crushed by Erna: – Shit
– Do you plan to accept the call for withdrawal?
– I’m in class. But the more I am encouraged to unsubscribe, the more I feel the need for me to remain a member.
Storelv believes that the lack of replacement at party leadership is a general problem that concerns several parties and several municipalities.
– The parties must wake up and see the need for renewal. This also applies to the best candidates, he concludes.
