Hubert Hurkacz maintained his 15th place in the last ATP world ranking of tennis players. The leader is Serbian Novak Djokovic. Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz closed the gap to the leader by winning the Barcelona tournament for the second time in a row on Sunday.
Last week, Djokovic lost in straight sets to fellow countryman Dusan Lajovic in the quarter-finals of a tournament in Banja Luka. “Nole” thus loses 105 points, but still leads with 7,135 points. The 35-year-old has topped the charts since April 3.
In the final of the Barcelona tournament, Alcaraz defeated Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3, 6-4, thanks to which he has 6770 points. This extended his winning streak over Tsitsipas to five. The Greek has yet to beat the Spanish rival.
