The Slovenian national team is not slowing down in the 2023 Nations League. This time, the Slovenians managed to defeat Cuba in four sets.
Before Thursday’s showdown, the Slovenians had only lost once to Bulgaria and won the other four clashes (against Serbia, France, Iran, Argentina and Canada), so they were hoping for a another LN triumph, which they managed to obtain.
In the clash with the Cubans, the players of Gheorghe Cretu started the competition badly, as they lost in the inaugural match 22:25. However, the remaining sets were probably won by the Slovenian team (15th, 16th and 19th respectively), who scored a full set of points.
Slovenia’s offensive leader was captain Tine Urnaut, who scored 16 points.
