On Wednesday, the Polish volleyball team won against Slovenia 29:31, 21:25, 25:20, 25:20, 15:13. The five-set fight, which our players played as part of this year’s third Nations League tournament, contributed to promotion in the table. After nine rounds of matches, the Poles were ranked third.

Behind the Poles, there are already nine matches played as part of the VNL 2023 group stage. Our volleyball players finished the first two tournaments with six wins and two losses. In the Philippines, where the third competition in the Nations League series is played, Grbic players arrived with 14 points.
On Wednesday, the Poles faced the Slovenians. After an extremely fierce and dramatic battle, Biało-Czerwoni proved better and won 3:2 (29:31, 21:25, 25:20:, 25:20, 15:13). Thanks to this, our team added two more points to the pool. The seventh victory means that the national team even managed to climb to third place in the Nations League table.
At this point, the Poles were overtaken by the Brazilians, who have already played their match in the tenth round of matches. On Thursday morning, the South American team played a match against the Netherlands, which they won 3:0. This does not take away from the fact that the triumph of the Whites and Reds over Slovenia has allowed our volleyball players to come closer to the top. Japan is still in first place.

Now the Poles await three more clashes. They will face each other in the next few days Brazil, Canada And Japan. The match against the South American volleyball players will be played on Friday July 7th. Whatever the results, our players will play the final tournament. Indeed, the event will be hosted by Gdańsk.
