There are many surprises in the groups, although of course some groups have ended or will end as the experts predict. The 2022 World Cup quarter-final matches will start on December 3 and end on December 6, 2022.
The Dutch won the group with 7 points and no losses. Senegal moved up from second place thanks to a victory in the last match against Ecuador. Qatar have lost all matches in Group A.
As for Group B, the best turned out to be the English, gaining 7 points. Second place and promotion with five points, after beating Iran, went to the Americans. England will face Senegal and the United States will face the Netherlands. We already know these pairings from the 1/8 finals of the 2022 World Cup.
Another group that ended the competition was Group D, which was of most interest to Polish fans. France, despite losing the last match against Tunisia, took first place there. Australia moved up from second place by beating Denmark. The Danes were the biggest disappointment, finishing the competition with 1 point.
France will face Poland, who in dramatic circumstances managed to jump from second place thanks to a better goal difference. Argentina, who won Group C, will face Australia in the round of 16.
We saw incredible events in Group F. The group was won by Morocco with 7 points and Croatia were promoted from second place. Belgium out of the World Cup, which is certainly the biggest surprise of the World Cup! Canada finishes with 0 points, but the Maple Leaf players have no reason to be ashamed of their game.
The upset also materialized in Group E, where Japan won the final match against Spain, won the group and expelled Germany from the tournament! What a sensation ! The third missed tournament for our neighbors to the west!
Asia also moved up from Group H. South Korea beat Portugal 2-1 in the last round and, thanks to more goals scored, overtook Uruguay in the standings. Portugal will drop from first place and Korea from second!
Group G was the last to play, Brazil won, although in the last game they lost to Cameroon 0-1 with a heavily reduced squad. Switzerland beat Serbia 3-2 and the Helvetians moved up from second place.
