On Tuesday, an agreement was signed between the Ukrainian Triathlon Federation and Elemental Holding, in cooperation with the Polish Triathlon Association, which aims to provide financial assistance for the preparation of Ukrainian triathletes for next year’s Olympic Games in Paris.
Elemental Holding has supported the Polish Triathlon Association for ten years. Faced with the war in Ukraine and the challenges faced by triathletes in this country, the company decided to expand its sports activities and financially support the local federation.
“In such a difficult situation as now, we want to allocate part of the funds to help our neighbors. Last year, they did not receive any money from their state, so it is difficult to imagine how they operate. help that we could organize is for them. If these funds really help them, it will be very good. The idea of Olympic sports is to help each other “- said Paweł Jarski, President of Elemental Holding.
None of the Ukrainian triathletes managed to qualify for the last Tokyo Olympics. The Ukrainian Triathlon Federation, which brings together around 500 licensed competitors, hopes to change the situation in Paris.
“We hope that at least one of our triathletes will qualify for the Olympic Games in Paris – Vitaly Vorontsov. In this situation, it is difficult to find him sponsors and money to prepare, so I would like to thank Elemental Holding for agreeing to help us in these difficult times,” admitted Ukrainian union president Bohdan Myhalus.
