Poland – Canada, that is to say the Olympics on the horizon
The Poland-Canada match will be played in Antalya, Turkey. If we look at history, the Poles are certainly the favorites. The last time they lost was against Canada in May 2019 – 1:3 in a friendly match. Since then, they have won ten consecutive matches, including five in the Nations League. Currently, both teams are building their form for the Paris Olympics, so this year’s Nations League is an important part of their preparations.
Before the start of the competition, the Polish volleyball players played two friendly matches. First they lost to Germany 1:3 in Katowice, then they easily beat Ukraine 4:0 in Sosnowiec. – The match already looked better, but we know that we have a lot to improve – said Bartłomiej Bołądź in an interview with Polsat Sport after the second match.
In the first Nations League tournament in Antalya, the Polish national team also faces the USA (3:0), the Netherlands and Slovenia.
