After the US Open, there will be one more tournament in the United States. Magda Linette will face the Ukrainian Marta Kostiuk in San Diego (WTA 500). The top seed was Tunisian Ons Jabeur.

A year ago, tennis players competed in San Diego in October. Iga Świątek then triumphed. This time, the tournament will be played in September, just after the US Open. The Raszynienne will not defend her title. There was a Polish woman in the main section. Magda Linette will face the Ukrainian Marta Kostiuk.
