Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre (Labour Party) visited Ukraine on Friday with pledges of NOK 10 billion in support.
The money, 1 billion euros, will cover three main purposes – humanitarian aid, reconstruction and support for the operation of key functions, as well as schools and hospitals. The last part is military assistance, reports NTB.
– We help support the struggle of Ukrainians for freedom. They are fighting for their country, but also for our common security in Europe and our democratic values, says Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre (Labour)

The aid will be paid for the remainder of 2022 and into next year. The Prime Minister intends to present the proposal to the Storting in August.
The aid program comes on top of other contributions, humanitarian and military, that Norway has already made since Russia invaded Ukraine in February.
