The Women in Leadership Fund will award six additional recipients from rugby club executive committees across the country in 2024 with funding of up to $2,000 to pursue development opportunities that will enhance their ability to lead within our sport.
October 11, 2023 (Langford, British Columbia) – Rugby Canada’s Women’s Leadership Fund will award six additional recipients from rugby club executive committees across the country in 2024 with funding of up to $2,000 to pursue development opportunities that will improve their ability to lead within our sport. The goal of the program is to provide a strong and diverse leadership base in Canada.
Rugby Canada is committed to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the game. In an effort to diversify leadership in rugby so that the game reflects all of Canada, Rugby Canada is proud to continue to offer the Rugby Canada women in leadership.

Eligible candidates must:
· Currently be involved in rugby at an administrative or governance level within a provincial federation or provincial board OR,
· Currently be involved in rugby at a governance level within a member club.
How it works:
Step 1: applications
Application forms can be accessed HERE and will be accepted until Sunday, November 19, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. EST.
Step 2: Selections and notification
Selections will be made by Thursday, November 30, 2023. Once all selected individuals have been notified and accepted funding, recipients will be publicly announced.
Step 3: Professional development
Each recipient will continue their personal development plan that was part of their application.
Step 4: Report
As part of the agreement to receive the fund, each beneficiary undertakes to share their journey through reports, photos and any other means of their choice.
