About a week after breaking up with NRK, Sophie informs Elise and Fetisha that the podcast has been relaunched.
On Thursday, March 9, Sophie Elise’s highly publicized podcast will be the subject of the Audiovisual Council. A total of 4,300 complaints were filed with the council on this subject. This is stated by NRK in a press release.
At the Broadcasting Council on Thursday, Broadcasting Manager Vibeke Fürst Haugen and Acting Entertainment Editor at NRK Christina Rezk Resar will open the discussion by telling the background of the “Sophie og Fetisha” podcast.
On March 2, NRK confirmed that the collaboration on the production and release of the “Sophie og Fetisha” podcast had ended. The confirmation came days after Se & Hør wrote that the parties had reached a decision.
NRK concluded that the commercial links with the two profiles are too extensive to be combined with the ongoing podcast production for NRK.
This means the last podcast was released on Thursday, March 2.

The agreement differed from other agreements that NRK has
The agreement reached last fall about “Sophie and Fetisha” differs from other agreements that NRK has concluded with subcontractors outside NRK.
The difference is that other entrepreneurs have business restrictions during the entire publication period, while Sophie Steen Isachen (Sophie Elise) and Fetisha Williams have been able to conduct their business activities as before, alongside the current publication.
– We wanted to try something completely new and create something with one of Norway’s biggest influencers. In the wake of recent debates, NRK has chosen to review all aspects of the collaboration, including the agreement. We have now concluded that cooperating with actors with such extensive ties and business activity is incompatible with the continued production of year-round podcasts for NRK. It’s a mistake we’re correcting now, Fürst Haugen said when NRK finally confirmed the collaboration was over.
The podcast with the two has, according to NRK itself, attracted new groups of listeners to the world of NRK podcasts. Sophie Elise and Fetisha want to continue their collaboration and increase their involvement in important listening groups for NRK.
– NRK wanted the current agreement to be amended in a way that imposes strong restrictions on our other business activities. I have no desire or possibility to close the rest of my business in order to save NRK’s reputation, and so we feel compelled to end the collaboration, says Sophie Elise in a press release where she and her partner from Fetisha podcast commented on the decision.

The return of the heralds
Now VG is reporting that the influencer is coming an update in a Tuesday Instastory:
– Ready for a new podcast with me and Fetisha? Now we can finally say everything.
There is also a countdown timer, which indicates that there will be a launch on the night of Thursday, March 16.
Fetisha also writes on Instastory:
– We’ll be back in a little over a week, girls.
It is unclear on which platform the podcast will be released or if they have entered into a new media collaboration after the breakup with NRK.

Thoughtful decision
Sophie Elise and Fetisha say the decision to end the collaboration has been carefully considered. Although NRK has made it clear how happy they are with the content, over the past few days the two have experienced a change in attitude and a lack of support from NRK management.
– A little over a year ago, I participated in NRK’s pitch days and competed with several other profiles to be part of NRK’s entertainment portfolio. NRK was well aware of our commercial commitments when they accepted the concept of the “Sophie & Fetisha” podcast, explains Sophie Elise. Both also find it striking that NRK seems to place different demands on them than other NRK profiles who also have ongoing business projects while working for NRK.
Proud of the podcast
Sophie Elise and Fetisha are proud of the concept they developed in collaboration with NRK and have been pleased with the series’ success with age groups that NRK otherwise struggles to capture.
– We refused other more lucrative offers to collaborate with NRK, and we do not regret it. It was instructive and evolutionary to work with such a large and professional organization, and we were ready to develop the concept further, says Fetisha.
They will particularly highlight the support and good team spirit they have experienced from a core group of NRK colleagues.
