The third week of the Women’s Volleyball Nations League 2023 is behind us. This stage ended the intercontinental competition, in which the Polish national team proved to be the best. During the third week of the Women’s Volleyball Nations League, sixteen national teams participated in two tournaments held in Bangkok and Suwon. The Polish national team won the intercontinental phase with a record of ten wins and two losses, which means that they will enter the final tournament from first place.

Coach Stefano Lavarini’s proteges began their Nations League competition at the Antalya tournament, where they beat Canada 3-2, Italy 3-1, Thailand 3-0 and Serbia 3 -0. In Hong Kong, the Polish women won with the Dominican Republic 3: 1 and Turkey 3: 0, in the next game they suffered their first defeat of this year’s edition – 0: 3 with the Netherlands , but they closed this stage of the competition. with an impressive 3:0 victory over the Chinese national team.
The third leg in Suwon did not start well, with a 2:3 loss to the Americans. The next matches are the Polish women’s victories 3:2 with Germany, 3:1 with Bulgaria and 3:0 with South Korea. In the last round, the table leaders USA lost to China after a tie-break, which meant that the Polish team became the winner of the main stage.
The Poles will begin the fight in the final tournament on July 12. They will face Germany again in the quarter-finals.
