– A decision was taken this evening by the organizing committee to initiate file preparations for sanctions under § 3b of the statutes against Lars Petter Solås, writes deputy general secretary Helge Fossum in an SMS to NRK.
It stipulates, among other things, that membership can be revoked permanently.
– The context of this decision is the information available so far and which has been clarified in recent days. Although descriptions of the incident vary widely, behavior is described that is totally unacceptable and that we absolutely should not see among our popular and union representatives, or in the party, the text says.
TB reported the case first.
The replay after the Frp national meeting last weekend must have surprised everyone.
Oslo FRP’s Lars Petter Solås allegedly grabbed journalist in the crotch, report says The daily.
He then allegedly shouted and threatened another journalist. He also allegedly strangled a third journalist, VG writing.
In the end, he had to be withdrawn by other participants in the nachspielet, according to information from Dagbladet. No one was hurt.
After the incident at the nachspielet, involved journalists from Nettavisen sent a message of concern to Frp. According to editor Gunnar Stavrum, Nettavisen has not decided whether or not it will be a police case.
NRK did not speak directly to Solås and therefore did not receive his version.
The party leader has previously said he consumed way too much alcohol that night.
– I drank more alcohol than I could control. This and all that it may have involved, I apologize in the most, very strong way, wrote the leader of the party in a press release.
The file is processed by the FRP organizing committee.
For a member who has violated the party’s program, statutes, guidelines or acted in a manner that could contribute to damage to the reputation of the party or party members:
- Permanently delete the membership.
- Deprive membership for a limited time.
- Limit the possibility of being elected to political and/or organizational positions of trust.
- Limit the possibility of participating in events and meetings organized by the party.
– Completely unacceptable
– The behavior portrayed by some media is completely unacceptable, and something that we should absolutely not have among our representatives and union representatives and in the party.
Helge Fossum, who is deputy party secretary in the Frp, wrote as much in an SMS to NRK earlier on Saturday.
– He is on sick leave and is deeply affected and regrets the situation mainly because he thinks of those affected, Fossum wrote again.
