October 16, 2023 – Kickoff of the 2023-24 season Grand Slam of Curling season, the world’s best curlers will hit the ice in Niagara Falls for the first time for the HearingLife Tour Challenge from October 17 to 22. Sportsnet set to deliver exclusive TV and streaming coverage of premier international curling event starting in Thursday October 19 he Sportsnet, Sportsnet ONE, Sportsnet 360, and via live broadcast on Sportsnet+ (formerly SN NOW).
While sliding into the Gale Center, the HearingLife Tour Challenge is the The Grand Slam of curling the largest event with 64 teams competing. The event will feature two tiers of top male and female curlers from around the world, including 32 women’s teams and 32 men’s teams. The round-robin style event will see teams compete for a combined purse of $400,000. Top-tier talent in action next week includes reigning Tier 1 event champions Team Edin (Sweden) and Team Homan (Canada), as well as Canadian fan favorites including Team Gushue (Canada) , Team Bottcher (Canada) and Team Jones (Canada). Bringing viewers to the heart of the action, Sportsnet’s expert curling commentators are ready to provide exclusive news and analysis from the Gale Center. Veteran play-by-play announcer Rob Faulds returns to the broadcast booth alongside Canada’s famous Olympic medalists and curling analysts, Kevin Martin, Mike Harris, And Joan McCusker. Olympic gold medalist JenniferJones will return to the booth for select broadcasts throughout the season. Robbie Doherty makes its television debut with exclusive player interviews and much more.
