In the case of the U19 Women’s World Championships, the 24 teams participating in the World Championships were divided into four groups, according to the serpentine principle – the first two places in each group by allocating, starting with the hosts, then according to the classification world of a given age group. The places from 3rd to 6th were also determined according to the principle of the serpentine, by drawing lots among four baskets, also sorted according to the places of the world ranking.
