In Den Bosch (WTA 250), there are up to three Russian players among the top seeds. One of them is defending champion Ekaterina Aleksandrova. Venus Williams will participate in the tournament.

In professional tennis, it’s grass time. On this surface, the competition will take place in the coming weeks. The Den Bosch tournament will start on Monday. There will be no Polish tennis players at the start.

Venus Williams, making her second appearance this year, will compete. In January in Auckland, she was knocked out in the second round. In the Netherlands, the opponent of the winner of seven Grand Slam singles titles will be Switzerland’s Céline Naef.

Two other Grand Slam champions will also join the fight. Victoria Azarenka (#3) will play against Serbian Natalija Stevanovic. Canada’s Bianka Andreescu (No. 6) will face Turkey’s Zeynep Sonmez.

Three out of eight seeds are Russian. One of them is defending champion Ekaterina Aleksandrova (No. 4), who will start with her compatriot Yevgeniya Rodina. Weronika Kudermetowa (n°1) was chosen by the American Alison Riske-Amritraj, 2019 champion of this tournament.

Lyudmila Samsonowa (#2) will meet Lena Papadakis. The Belgian Elise Mertens (n°5) will face another German Eva Lys. Alaksandra Sasnowicz (n°7) will face the Italian Lucrezia Stefanini. American Caty McNally (n°8) will play with her compatriot Katie Volynets.
