Wojciech Gawroński wants to defeat Canada by bike. We will follow his journey. Watch “Journey to Canada”.

Spring is a time of challenges and the start of the cycling season. Some people just want to improve their fitness and spend time outdoors, while others think about long trips and unforgettable adventures. The latter are an integral part of the life of Wojciech Gawroński, known thanks to the Bicycle to Jest World project.

A resident of Ostrów Wielkopolski decided to spend two months on the other side of the world. Just him and the bike. This time, he chose Canada, which he wants to travel on two wheels. The expedition called “Canada Trip” will begin on April 1. He will then fly to the United States. He's going to start cycling in California – in Los Angeles, where he and his friend finished one of their previous trips taking the famous Route 66 – the mother road that connects Chicago to the City of Angels.

He now wants to cross Canada alone, starting with California, from where he plans to go to Vancouver and from there to the east of this vast country of 9,984,670 km². The end point of the expedition is to reach New York, from where he wants to return to Europe and Poland by plane. – From Los Angeles to Vancouver it is approximately 2,500 km, but to cross all of Canada it is another 6,000 km. So I will do part of the journey on at least four wheels: either by hitchhiking or by taking the Trans-Canada Railway, which connects Vancouver to Toronto. And I think I'm going to stop at some point, because I won't be able to go the whole distance – tells Wojciech Gawroński on the wlkp24.info portal.

The limit is time. Wojtek will have 2 months to complete the course. This is all he had planned with his family, who stay at home and who he will surely miss, while crossing his fingers for the traveler.
