Just before Sunday’s flight to the Netherlands for the second Nations League tournament, the Polish volleyball team changed the position of the striker. Previously advised rookie Dawid Dulski is replaced by more experienced Bartłomiej Bołądź and he will partner Bartosz Kurek in the bomber squad.

In the friendly match against the Argentines in Płock, Bołądź was not in the team of the Whites and Reds, it was not planned to play either in this match or in the Netherlands. Instead, Dulski played as a substitute for the national team’s main striker, Bartosz Kurek. According to the Polish Volleyball Association, the change is dictated by health reasons.

Recall that Bartosz Bednorz was not on the Płock floor on Friday, and there were also medical doubts. – He had poisoning, he vomited, after the tests we will make a decision – then coach “SE” Nikola Grbić said, but there were many indications that we would see Bednorz in the Netherlands, and eventually it happened.

The whites and reds will be tested in Rotterdam as part of the LN by: Germans, Dutch, Americans and Italians. The clash with Italy will be the first opportunity to get revenge for last year’s World Cup final, which the Whites and Reds lost at the Spodek in Katowice.

The next stages of this year’s men’s national team competition are: European Championships (August 28-September 16; group stage in Macedonia, knockout stage in Italy), preceded by the Wagner Memorial (from August 18 to 20) with the participation of the powers of: Italy, France and Slovenia.

The final competition in the NL main round will be for players from Grbicate in the distant Philippines from July 5-9 (rivals: Slovenia, Brazil, Canada and Japan). After the Nations League regular phase ends, the top eight teams will face off in the final tournament held in Gdansk from July 19-23. The Poles, due to the organization of the finals, are of course guaranteed a performance in the Ergo Arena.

However, the volleyball team’s key competitions will be held at the end of this season. From September 30 to 8, the Poles will participate in the Olympic qualifications in China. In addition to us, the tournament will feature: hosts Argentina, Netherlands, Canada, Mexico, Belgium and Bulgaria. They will face each other and the two best teams will receive passes for Paris 2024.
