Becomes partner of the agency.
The former Brann managing director will take over as April PR chief in Oslo after Jannicke Josefsson-Ruud changed jobs and moved to Maverix.
– Communication has been a big part of my day to day working life and understanding this is key to being successful in many fields, in the vast majority of industries, at all levels. Now I’ve had a few lovely months of free time to hike in the mountains – on skis and on foot, read books I didn’t have time for before, and give talks. Most importantly, I spent time deciding what I’m passionate about and what I want to work on in the future, Johannessen said in a press release late Thursday.
Johannessen will work in both Oslo and Bergen in the future and therefore works in the image of its CEO Tina Stiegler, who is based in Oslo while she heads the April Group.
April writes in the press release that there have been recent changes at the Oslo branch, but there are now several new advisors in place.
Johannessen will use his experience as the managing director of a high-profile sports club to accelerate the small Oslo office.
– My biggest challenges have been communication, and I’ve made my mistakes and experiences useful. Also, where I’ve been most successful is in communication. The timing of the communication is key, as is the recipient’s perception of you. Communication changes the world, creates conflicts – and resolves them. And much more, she says in the press release.
When she takes up her new role, she will become an April partner with Trond Albert Skjelbred and Fredrik Hannestad.
– Johannessen has one of the most high-profile managerial positions in Western Norway. This unique experience, combined with her positive and energetic personality, offers her good conditions for success both as managing director and as a communication consultant with us,” said Tina Stiegler, Group CEO Media Bergen in the press release.
