The first set was very unsuccessful for the Poles, the Canadians dominated in all elements and deserved a victory by 18. However, Nikola Grbic’s players were able to quickly regain the initiative and began to dominate.
In the second set, the serve of Kochanowski and Bołądź worked particularly well, thanks to which, after the outside serve of the rivals, the white and red team led to a draw. The third set was particularly balanced, with neither team able to gain the advantage for long. However, in the decisive moments the Poles gained the upper hand and, mainly thanks to the excellent play of Bartosz Bednorz, they took the lead in the match.
The final part of the match began and ended with a clear advantage for the Poles, who maintained a secure advantage of several points until the end. The last action of the match ended with a beautiful attack from the center of Jakub Kochanowski.
On Friday May 24, Nikola Grbic’s team will face the Netherlands. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
