A difficult path to the Olympics
Only France, as host country and defending champion, is guaranteed participation in next year’s Olympic volleyball tournament. The remaining eleven participants must be selected through three qualifying tournaments (six places) and a world ranking (five places).
In China, two tickets to Paris
Poland, China, Argentina, the Netherlands, Canada, Mexico, Belgium and Bulgaria are participating in the Xi’An tournament. For over a week, these teams will compete in a round-robin format, and the top two teams will win tickets to Paris. In the qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games, this year’s triumphs at the European Championships or the Nations League do not matter. The title of vice-world champion won in 2022 does not count either. A ticket to the Olympic tournament must be won on the field in China, which is why every match and every set is important.
Tough rivals
The Poles in Xi’An will face Belgium (September 30), Bulgaria (October 1), Canada (October 3), Mexico (October 4), Argentina (October 6), Netherlands (October 7). ) and China (October 8). . . The pace of the tournament is therefore enormous, and the margin for error is almost non-existent. At the same time, other top teams, such as the United States, Brazil and Italy, will participate in tournaments in Japan and Brazil.
Polish national team match schedule:

Follow in the footsteps of volleyball players
In China, the Polish volleyball team must do what the White and Red have already done. They were able to count on the support of their fans during the tournament in Łódź, but our volleyball players have other advantages. The team led by coach Nikola Grbic is world vice-champion and European champion, as well as leader of the FIVB world rankings. This allows the Poles to be considered favorites, while respecting the principle that titles do not matter. Polsat sports channels broadcast all tournament matches in China, as well as parallel competitions of the same rank in Japan and Brazil. Volleyball fans will be able to enjoy the coming days of their beloved sport at the highest representative level.
