The 2022 Volleyball World Championships will take place in Katowice (Spodek) and Gliwice (Arena Gliwice) in Poland and in the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana (Arena Stožice). 24 teams will participate in the tournament.

The teams were divided into six groups, four in each. The group stage will be played from August 26 to 31. The teams that take first and second place in the table and the four best third-placed teams will qualify for the 1/8 finals.
Division into groups of the 2022 Volleyball World Championships:
group A (Katowice): Ukraine, Serbia, Tunisia, Puerto Rico
group B (Ljubljana): Brazil, Japan, Qatar, Cuba
group C (Katowice): Poland, United States, Mexico, Bulgaria
group D (Ljubljana): France, Slovenia, Germany, Cameroon
group E (Ljubljana): Italy, Canada, Türkiye, China
group F (Ljubljana): Argentina, Iran, Netherlands, Egypt.
The 1/8 final matches will be played from September 3 to 6. The quarter-finals are scheduled for September 7 and 8. Meetings for these tournament phases will take place in Ljubljana and Gliwice. The top four from the 2022 World Cup will play in Katowice, where the semi-finals (September 10) and medal matches (September 11) will be played.
The Volleyball World Championship has been held since 1949. The Polish national team has won the event three times. For the first time in 1974 in Mexico, led by coach Hubert Wagner. Two other triumphs in 2014, when the tournament was held in Poland and the team was managed by Stéphane Antiga, and in 2018 (Bulgaria / Italy), when Vital Heynen was the coach. The collection of medals of the white and red team is completed by the silver won in 2006 in Japan by the proteges of coach Raúl Lozano.
